Space Oddity

I haven't posted in awhile. This is just a little sketch I did in Photoshop.

Ugly Yeti - Updated

Since I have been focusing on finding a graphic design job in the fine state of Colorado and redesigning my website, I have not had much time to actually create any drawings. After nearly two months, we have something new and you can purchase it here! More images after the jump.

Pity the Fool

Mr. T is awesome. According to Wikipedia, at one point in his life he would spend about an hour putting on his chains.

This is based on a sketch I was originally going to post. I didn't want three posts of sketches in a row, so I began painting it in Photoshop. I didn't care for how that turned out. I then eventually began experimenting with collage in Photoshop. This is the final result.

Out with the Old

I've been diligently working on a new site for my online portfolio. I'm hoping to be finished within the next couple weeks. Most of the design and coding is done, but I'm wanting to take new photos for my design portfolio.

If you are viewing this on Blogger you'll notice the new design, which will be consistent with the new site. If you are reading this on Facebook, then this showed up on your news feed and you probably don't care.

A Sketch

On the Easel - January Fourteenth Twenty Ten

This is the drawing I'm currently working on. Unfortunately, as you can see, I haven't worked on 'Beastman' in a while.

Cravin' Raven

Happy New Year! This is a drawing I made for my parents for Christmas.

Raven - Pencil and a Small Amount of' Marker on Wood

I haven't been posting much recently. My goal for 2009 is at least one post a week.

On the Easel

I have been pretty pathetic about updating this the past two months. I recently cleaned out the area that was originally my studio space two years ago and no longer have to work in my three different places in my house.

Here is a shot of my work area with the 'Beastman' painting that I have been working on the past couple of months visible, as well as, 'Eric the Ginger' which I am currently finishing up on the easel.

Oh, and I may have a new logo for 'Round Robot' soon.

Submitted to Threadless.com - Shameless Self Promotion - Vote It In

I have submitted my first design to Threadless.com, which allows users submit designs which are then voted on by users whether or not they they should get printed.

You click on the link on the upper right hand side if you are on my blog. If you are reading this on Facebook you can vote for it here. You will need to register with the site to vote.

The design is a slightly revised version of Sasquath with Saw from a few posts ago. I think the silhouette of the grass works better visually than the roots.

Really evil looking Skeletor!! Wow, style wise, I am all over the place.

Beastman

I'm working on a painting of Beastman from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Here is my initial sketch.

And for those unfamiliar with Beastman or He-Man and the Masters of the Universe...

Sasquatch with Saw

I have really been slacking with posts recently. I'll try and work on that.

I'm thinking about making this a full scale painting. Since this was done digitally, does that make the process I will be using to paint analog?

Birds the Word

I have not posted anything in a long time.

Peter Venkman, Ph.D of Ghostbusters

Dr. Venkman, played in the film Ghostbusters by William James Murray, was drawn in Adobe Illustrator. I haven't really used Illustrator that much for actual illustrations, but I'm pretty pleased with the final result.

Triggertown

Being unemployed in the design world I can do whatever I feel like. So in my spare time I created a poster for Triggertown. They are thee premiere bluegrass band in Lincoln, Nebraska with a wash basin string bass. Actually, I don't know of any others, but I have seen them live on the streets of Lincoln and they were incredible.

Here is their MySpace page.

And some photos from the performance I saw:

Oops

Forgot to post on Tuesday. I guess I'll shoot for five in a week. This doesn't count by the way.
